Free Summer Workshops

Throughout June we’re running a series of 5 free workshops at our regular Monday evening rehearsals, culminating in a final workshop and informal recital of Brahms’ Requiem on 1st July with two pianists and soprano and baritone soloists!

The music we’ll cover at each workshop is shown on the posters above. While much of it is traditional classical, we’re hoping many of you will also be attracted to the Will Todd ‘Gospel meets Choral!’ workshop and the ‘Choir Showstoppers!’ workshop, which will include numbers like Tequila Samba!

We’d really love you to join us – these workshops are open to all, whether you’re interested in joining our choir or just like singing! You should have a basic ability to read music, but you certainly don’t need to be a good sight-singer! You can come to all the workshops or just the ones you fancy (although if you’d like to perform the Brahms and haven’t sung it before you should try to come to both Brahms workshops).

If all this sounds good, please register by emailing our membership secretary, Linda (, stating which workshops you’d like to attend. Please do this by 16 May (or 4 June for the Brahms), so that we can be sure we’ll have enough sheet music for everyone (all music will be provided).

All workshops are free of charge/PAYF, with refreshments afterwards included.
